We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Manager of Conferences and Events. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing various exhibitions and on and offline events worldwide. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our conferences, exhibitions, and promotional activities. You will report to the Director Marketing. This is a permanent position. You can work from Germany, the UK, Poland, Ireland, France, India, China, Hong Kong, Singapore or the US.

YOUR TASKS:

  • Budget planning for exhibitions worldwide (approximately 120), excluding the Americas
  • Organize exhibitions, including booking venues, coordinating equipment, managing stand builders, overseeing graphics, handling shipping logistics, arranging receptions and events, creating advertisements, and implementing promotional strategies
  • Continuously improve workflows and processes to drive efficiencies
  • Support with virtual events process and coordination, technical support, generating reports
  • Lead and mentor a team consisting of one colleague and three working students, providing guidance for their workload management
  • Plan the circulation of catalogues, manage print orders, coordinate warehouse planning, handle dispatch logistics, ensure cost planning, and oversee the upload and in-house communication process
  • Manage the production and stock keeping of branded promotional materials, exhibition materials, and catalogs

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Proficiency in meeting parallel deadlines under time pressure, while maintaining attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work independently and in a structured manner on both long-term and short-term projects, including effective planning, control, and implementation
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
  • Experience in optimizing workflows, conducting project evaluations, and delivering presentations to stakeholders
  • Familiarity with virtual, hybrid, and physical event formats, such as webinars, panel discussions, and book presentations, as well as marketing strategies associated with these events
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Ability to work from our Berlin office 2-3 days a week would be an advantage
